A New Blog!
I've thought long and hard about creating a website like this. Obviously, it's a blog site. But it's a blog site with a difference. Two years ago, I went travelling around Australia. Nothing too unusual, you might say - thousands of young people go backpacking every year. However, if you understood the type of person I am (was?) you'd see the accomplishment in what I did.
The purpose of Memories of Australia is to act as a vehicle for the incredibly detailed diary I kept while there. I don't want to act unethically, so I won't be unveiling the diary in all its glory, as parts of it are just too personal, and I'll respect the privacy of people I knew while travelling, which I why I'll be changing all or most of their names, as well as the names of some corporations. (Changes and censors will be in green text.) But what you'll be left with otherwise is a complete and detailed account of my time down-under.
There's still a long way to go before I get the full diary online. Each day in the diary with be a single blog entry, and will be of a certain category. You can browse the days of my adventure either by category or through the archive. Feel free to contact me and leave a comment.
